Never in my life have I been this surprised and amused at the same time. Never in my life have I thought that something this extraordinary could happen to me here in this cold and quiet Swedish home of mine. Here, it's not uncommon for the temperature to drop twenty degrees below the freezing point during winter and it's not uncommon for the sun to be shining until midnight during summer.
I would prefer the warmth of (home country)'s sun over this, but working here as a teacher has given me great experiences too. It's a little hard to understand the ways of the swedes, like why they walk out of their houses to work even though there is a blizzard outside or why they stand so far from each other while frigidly waiting for the bus instead of standing closer to share warmth together. Other than that, I feel quite cosy and homely here.
